My artist process is two-fold... beginning with words of inspiration
to encourage and hearten. I design each line of jewelry with
a motivating message in mind. The jewelry not only provides
a hopeful appeal to the eye, but provides a gentle reminder
of the message to the soul.
The symbols in my jewelry represent the
process of life the individual is going through at the time.
My wish is to uplift the spirit, ever-reminding oneself what
has true value and meaning in their life - internal beauty
and personal strength.
The first piece of jewelry I designed was
the Breath Prayer Bracelet. The inspiration for this piece
came from a particularly difficult time in my life. The bracelet
symbolized my need to stay grounded and centered during this
time. Others were attracted to the bracelet and the symbolism
behind it.
For the Journey was born with the intention
to create distinct jewelry that warms the heart and encourages
the soul.

I love the creative process...it takes me to a magical
place. I go within, I dream, I play, I get lost in the possibilities.
At times I feel overwhelmed with all the potential. Sometimes,
I'll try a design and it doesn't feel right, I work it over
again and again, and then the magic happens...voila! It feels
good, it looks good, it's what I was hoping to achieve.
Finally, I come back into the "real" world to bring
my art, my creations, to the For the Journey team for their
reactions. I'm always amazed when they express their love
for the new designs and are looking forward to getting them
into production and to you.
Then it's on to the next step...the trade shows.
I feel honored with every piece of jewelry that is purchased,
knowing that the fruit of our team work is being worn and
enjoyed by so many women, and in many situations, the message
is uplifting their spirits.
It's all a wonder of an experience. An experience that is
extremely magical to me. I'm blessed to do what I do and to
be apart of a team of like-minded women that have the same
vision...to bless others with "art" and "inspiration".
Thank you all for this privilege!!
